Pulled Pork

With Super Bowl 2013 next Sunday and people planning get togethers I thought I would post my favorite recipe for pulled pork. It’s quick and easy and can feed a lot of people. With a 5 lb. roast I usually have a lot of leftovers. Here is where I get real creative with new dinners from one recipe. First meal we have plain pulled pork sandwiches with chips and coleslaw. Next time I will add BBQ sauce to the meat and make BBQ pork quesadillas with flour tortillas, a little sour cream, guacamole, and pico degallo. Another idea is to make BBQ pizza with pulled pork. Use half tomato sauce and half BBQ sauce, and then add pork, some purple onion, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese. By then I am usually out of pork. There are endless recipes for pulled pork, these just happen to be a few of my family's favorites.

My first post!

Hello out there. My name is Kim. This is my first blog! Can you tell? Well it's the New Year and that brings new resolutions. Mine is to join in the social media of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and the Blogosphere. So I have decided to start a blog about something that I enjoy doing and that is finding new recipes to use in the crock pot. My game plan is to post a new recipe or recipes every Monday.
So here is my first recipe. This has been tried and tested on my family and friends. They have given it good reviews for easy preparations and unfortunately no leftovers unless you double the recipe.

CROCK POT CUBE STEAKS

INGREDIENTS:
1 Package of cube steaks

1 can (10.75 oz) of cream of mushroom soup

1 package of onion soup mix or beefy onion soup mix

½ soup can of water

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Spray your crock pot with some PAM for easier clean-up. Place cube steaks in the bottom. Then pour on the cream of mushroomsoup, then add the dry soup mix, then the water and mix. Salt and pepper totaste. Cook on high for 8 hours or low for 10- 12 hours. For a family pack of cube steaks add another can of cream of mushroom soup and ½ can of water. Don’t add another package of dry soup as this will make it too salty. This will  make lots of gravy. Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles, or even rice.
